The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to build out and scale the usage of our industry leading Trade Surveillance products. The ideal candidate will have a strong trading or trading applications background and experience building and scaling enterprise platform products. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills enabling them to work effectively across functional teams.
Solidus Labs is headquartered in FiDi in New York City, and this role is NYC-based.
- Own and maintain the Trade Surveillance product roadmap, milestones, and dependencies with strategic priorities in mind.
- Define features, write product specifications, facilitate user studies, iterate on feedback, manage the backlog, and ultimately ship products/features in a timely manner
- Prepare product requirements and specifications for new charting and data analysis features in the surveillance product.
- Use metrics, industry trends, and customer insights to identify and execute new growth opportunities for our surveillance product.
- Define a world-class user experience and lead product initiatives to achieve it.
- Provide SME and product support for sales and client demos.
- Understand the Market Surveillance algorithms provided by Solidus Labs and provide explanations to prospective clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work with Sales, Customer Success, R&D, and other Product Teams to develop a short, medium, and long-term roadmap for the surveillance product.
- Execute short tasks and longer-term projects across multiple global teams. Communicate status to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Proactively engage with sales, product, and technology teams to understand the new features and provide demos to clients and prospects.
- 5+ Years of experience, with trading experience at a Wall Street firm or experience working with trading systems at a large financial institution
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field. Preferably in Finance, Computer Science, or Data Science
- Strong Knowledge of at least one of the following asset classes: Crypto, Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, FX
- Strong Knowledge of Trading/Financial Charting (Bloomberg, TradingView, ChartIQ, or custom tick-level price and volume charts)
- Knowledge of standard financial compliance procedures and regulations (AML, KYC, Trade Surveillance, Transaction monitoring). Knowledge of FIX protocol a plus
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in groups in energetic, diverse, and global teams
- Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly
- Ability to handle complex operational tasks, recommend process and technology changes
- Proactive with respect to personal and technical development
